Closed Summer job in Durham GPS’ing food stores

Summer work auditing the food environment in Durham, $15/hr

We are looking for individuals with experience in collecting GIS audit data for a summer job to collect audit data of food stores in Durham that will ultimately be compared to an existing database on food stores. Individuals will work in pairs and collect GPS points and written information about the food stores in field. The audit will be completed by driving throughout Durham. The study is for an NIH-funded grant to study environmental determinants of obesity.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, experience collecting audit data using GPS, and a Bachelor’s degree. Attention to detail, ability to work in a team, good communication with the team members, and ability to follow a research protocol are strongly preferred.
Work schedule – Flexible, work to be conducted primarily during business hours and all work must be conducted during daylight.
Pay rate – $15/hour
