Description of Work
This position is assigned to the Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Unit. It is an applications analyst advanced position requiring
specialization in GIS technology and an advanced understanding of
application and system development with strong systematization skills
relative to application source code, software configuration management,
and development processes.Position is Advanced Level for the
LABOR MARKET CONDITIONS. Application must be received in our office

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience and knowledge for this position should include:
Considerable understanding of GIS principals, theories, and practices;
a strong understanding of ESRI s current ArcGIS product line;
knowledge of ArcObjects; proficient with Visual Studio.NET 2005 or
later and C#; experience developing and deploying .NET solutions with
IIS; knowledge of industry standards including (UML, XML, XSD, XSLT,
HTML, CSS, Web Services); knowledge of GIS data acquisition and a good
understanding of spatial data modeling; knowledge of software
development methodologies; experience with Microsoft s Team Foundation
Server, CVS, Subversion, or Clear Case; knowledge of Citrix
virtualization technologies.

Training and Experience Requirements
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a four-year college
or university with nine semester hours in programming and one year of
experience in business application consulting or development.
Experience in the field of work related to the position’s role may be
substituted on a year-for-year basis. Degrees must be received from
appropriately accredited institutions. Degrees must be from
appropriately accredited institutions.
