DESCRIPTION
Day-to-day operations run the gamut from As-Built data editing, data enhancement, GPS field collection, workflow development, and spatial analysis / geo-processing tasks. Will be responsible for data collection and market research using GIS tools – surveying, cartography, using GIS systems to create geospacial studies. GIS ESRI / ARC View experience preferred.
Sampling of Possible GIS Intern Activities:
As-Built Editing
Interpretation of field drawings
Correct entry of assets into GIS system following Geometric Network Rules
Attribution and validation of features
Collection of GIS data in field
Creation of Book Maps
Help create book map documents by system
Utilize ESRI / Arc View
Format indexes & legends
